Whats the best pump for a small turbo. Car is only standard, but i've read that the pumps are marginal even on standard cars?

You don't want the standard pump on Stage 1 or above as my mate found out to his cost, he melted a spark plug & an exhaust valve on his Stage 3 setup, he also manged to weld part of one of those items to the top of the piston for good measure.

I'm going for a Walbo pump in my ST but I'm only aiming for 350BHP.

              Only way to be

It must be good enough as they wouldn't have used them otherwise, mine is on a standard pump and runs perfectly and was spot on fuelling wise on the rolling road day last year

The standard pump came from a 1.6 escort & they're tiny (the pump not the car).

Its funny that most parts on a Cossie are over kill yet the fuel pump is one of the most critical parts in the fuel system & just about up to the job.

near enough matey, just a stainless with motorsport cat and K&N was running well at 254bhp last time and that was with a little niggle with the wastegate, which should have been sorted now

I would replace it with a Walbro pump, plenty for standard power and should be direct replacement I think.

Sounds the same as spec as mine, mines done 240ish a few times.

that sounds like your answer, must admit if I had the tank off it would be rude not to change it
