  • T4 broken ???

Just been driving the car on the motorway when suddenly there was no boost

Had a look and found the linkage has snapped

Dose anyone know if these can be welded in situ?

Should there be any movement up & down (there is now!) on the wastegate thing that turns?

            Thanks for the replies
I was really woried the whole thing would have to come off.

Its bl##dy sods law - I am going to Oulton Park this Friday and the clutch has started to slip (again) then this happened with the turbo.
Should have it all fixed by then all being well.

                      FAO Jim

Still the same clutch Martin put in after the first failure.
You know I was less than pleased with the service from Martin at the time but this one has taken some stick over the last few miles or so (& 3 track days) so can't really say it dosent work as a clutch on my car? (Although I rarely use full boost)
I will have to work out how many miles I have done since the last one which was about a year ago.
Martin has been recommending some different plates that should bolt straight in which are more aggressive (ceramatalic) but says they will not slip & should last longer.
I will be booking my car in at SCS for a few jobs before I take it off the road for some bodywork & hi fi system etc over winter
Just want it to get me through the TWO trackdays in one week first.
