...are they a proper Cosworth?..Purist wise...as i got the 3dr and escos and want a collection but is a saff worthy?...they seem to look a youngster boyracer car with no real heritage (except engine and mike rainbird but owning the rebuilt shoddy effort i lost respect in them)...your opinions.

yep! i love the shape and the comfort.and tbh if it werent for the garage i have now,i wouldnt have an escort i'd be in a saff. proper car imo,ok not showy like the escos and 3dr but it does its job so wellsigpic

Just never saw the appeal TBH - seemed to be driven to within a inch of their life, and didn't seem to have the same cult follwoing as the 3dr or the Escos.
Also, given they're cheap (relitivley speaking for the performance) they do seem to attract a fair few people who otherwise wouldn't be in a performance car...
I do appreciate that therre are a LOT of them that are looked after, and maintained etc properly, but imo it seems the majority of attempted cost cutting measures that you see on another site do come from saph owners..
