I don't agee, the AMG black comes with black wheels and red calipers. Looks menacing! Saw a black RS today for the first time on the road, with black wheels. Looks mean!sigpic

Perhaps showing my age, but I have the same feeling for the Mk3 as I did for the Mk2 and the Mk1.
All excited when it first gets announced and then the realisation that it isn't quite an Escort Cosworth.
Mk1 - Bespoke body panels, great engine, interior a little dubious and no 4x4
Mk2 - Bespoke body panels, great engine, and no 4x4
Mk3 - Great engine and 4x4 but no bespoke body......and only 5 door.
I am however much more contented now that I have come to the conclusion that none of the Focus RS are a replacement for the Escort Cosworth.
In my opinion
It used to be 3 trim levels
XR
RS Turbo
RS Cosworth
And now it is 2 trim levels
ST
RS
XR has definitely been replaced by ST and when I think that RS Turbos have been replaced by the Focus RS it makes more sense.
In summary, the Focus RS is a fitting replacement for the Escort RS Turbos.
So the wait continues for the 'Cosworth' replacement which I doubt will ever come. Especially now that Mustang has arrived on our shores.
