Can anyone enlighten me as to what the two pieces of pipe are that come out from my pipercross air filter for my escort? I have attached a pic of one the same as mine from google.

trumpet & boost hose -
I was wanting to change it but I see group A cone filters don't have those two pieces, nor do the majority of other ones I have seen, so what do you do when the filer doesn't have these?sigpicComment

they will sell you a trumpet to fit the air filter and you wil have to buy a silicone boost hose.Comment

I think we may be getting our wires crossed here ... I am talking about the two small pieces sticking out from the side...as seen in the pic below...is this what you are talking about ?sigpicComment

no thats what I ain't talking about.
That either you will drill and weld your own on the trumpet or im sure you can buy a boost hose that has them on there replacing it on the trumpet.Comment

the big ones for the oil breather pipe and the others for the amal valve bleed off,most decent makes will have the oil filter one still and you can just leave the amal one to vent to atmosphereComment
