Yes, they might produce half of what the owners say they actually do

Impressive times probably a lot more to come? Kalanc in Malta have done 8.8 1/4 mile in their 3 door Cosworth with approx 800hp yb and non tubbed rear end.

know what you meen but is that the only tuners in uk??? everywhere is some that brag about massive bhp thats not there... we have them here to, but also some realy good thats in "worldclass", in building and tuning.

but 1050bhp can be done in a drag yb(wouldnt run a hillclimb or track With it at that setup), it was alreday one here in NorWay in a Escort mk1 dragcar few years back...

Cement blocked YB's are old hat ever since Malta. But very few people run anything here that isn't in some way revolved around the well known tuners. Any others aren't worth mentioning. That's the difference.

If that greek cossie "only" had about 800bhp and does high 8 sec then somerhings wrong.
You need MASSIVE grip to do that time, and power to keep pushing down the line
Just to do a low 10 sec ive seen cars producing 650-800bhp depending car but still to go from low 10-sec to a high 8 thats a HUGE improvement
Trap speed should be about 260km/h +

It's maltese just type Kalanc Cosworth in YouTube. 1000hp is not needed to do 8's, kev Jenkins does constant 8's in his mk1 escort drag car with a 650hp Vauxhall turbo, Wenny does 9.5's with 700hp in his 4wd mk3 escort.
The fastest 4wd manual box car in the uk is Andy forests Impreza that does high 7's with a 1000hp, all these times are at Santa pod too, all can be found on YouTube.

I'm not talking other cars, i'm talking this heavy sierra.
It might have a lot off power but its missing the grip
