We're well used to seeing Escort Cossies going for silly money, even proper dog examples. Their value increases each year which is understandable. But do converted cars go for this much like in the add??? Not that I'm thinking of selling, but I know of a few that have gone for 13-14k with simple mods and each year their value increases too. The Escort in FastFord this month would surely get a pretty penny I'm guessing

they advertise it at that price,a bit high too imo, however they are open to offers....so hopefully they will get offers near the asking price ,well atleast a lot more than they bought it for.

Very very much so mate Good quality converted cars go for very good money, I know what I've been offered for mine and I could get a decent Escos for the price. But won't sell in any case, more fun and unique having what's in the garage

I know a boy selling , what I would think 1 of the best converted road going focus Cosworth shells, he has just removed his engine, and I have thought about buying the rest but because its not a genuine Rs I think its the only reason I haven't parted with my cash,

So I can't see non gen cars commanding top money like a genuine escort Cosworth as much as I admire them, that's just my opinion

there are still plenty of people buying non-rs car that are very near rs spec or even better lol.

only have to look at the escort mk.1 and 2 cars, these go for good money even tough there standard mk.2 escorts and not rs cars on the book.

Ok so I maybe understated the price to exaggerate my point. 17k for a cossie van is still an absolute joke no matter how good the conversion is!! The money that's been sunk into the car does not determine the sale price. There is decent'ish escort cosworth for that money which I'm sure most would prefer.
