any body seen these before , messing about on the net yesterday found this , are they any good , I want a sequentail box but not the price so this could be the answer, the vid looks impressive, and the do them for mustangs , so thinking it will work on my t5 as it's straight cut , what do you think?

Looks like an Australian distributor for SQS...

Surely a straight cut T5 with this kit added wont be much cheaper than a Quaife G69 or Sellholm MPG?

There £1400 for the kit , your looking £6k to 10k for a sequentail box ? And you can have the changes on a paddle shift

I'm sure you can make it all work. But taking a T5 box, adding a dog engagement straight cut gearkit, then adding a sequential/paddle shift system to this again. You're still left with a housing from a normal T5 box that was not designed for all this. Surely it all adds up to quite a few £1000 still? From what I've hear people even upgrade the T5 housing as that has been known to be the weakspot as well on higher powered cars.
Is it worth it compared to a purpose built/designed sequential box?
I'm just asking To me it seems to make more sense to buy a box that is purpose built sequential in the first place rather than upgrading and upgrading something that isnt.

I've heard otherwise from the rallycross guys here in Norway. Plenty of trouble with Elite boxes.
Quaife, Sellholm or Drenth are better alternatives

                  Quaife!

Don't think Punton and Gaz had any issues with theirs, Punton loves his.

Do they ever drive them though? We are talking rallycross cars here, not garage queens that are driven a few times a year

Talking to nms and they were giving the new quaife range a good rep especially as there are two versions semi helical and straight cut rated for big power too also paddle shift a swell 4x4 ones are around 10k 2wd were around £6k not bad prices really when you consider gear kits then fitting into standard casing which have there own issues as do all boxes but they have fitted a few now including the sunbeam wich is at 700bhp and used in anger and they were saying so far very good
