Why are only Escort cosworth owners allowed to view the projects on the forum? I have a sapph cosworth and it would be nice to see what people do to their Escorts. I can imagine you don't want people starting topics on other type of cars, but I don't see why people shouldn't be allowed to view or post replies there.

It's there to allow us to let the people we want to see, see...... If we wanted anyone to see them we would post them in other parts of the forum or on passionford.com.... However these days there's more and more thieves etc so some of us prefer to keep things more private...

Not everyone posts pics in the general section though fella. Some people only post pics in there

So the conditions for being allowed to view is owning an Escort Cosworth, that makes someone a genuine person. Or are there other criteria?

Maybe so, but pics from shows get posted up of your cars, so its not exactly a well thought out system is it

Well it is an escort cosworth forum so owning one is a good start!

Its the rules of this site.....its what we accept when we join. You have to realise that this site was set up due to discontent of PF. So the original members pretty much migrated in mass from PF and joined this new site. So this is rules that they wanted. There's no use in joining and then complaining about the rules !
I asked the same questions when I joined but I now realise the reasons behind the way this site works.

The resto thread is not the only one non owners cant see we also have the General Section "the re-birth section"

Not complaining of the rules at all and its 100% better in EVERY way to passionford. But you can't help people from poking easy holes in the sites logic for "safety and security"
