What are these holes for

There are two holes just in front of where the battery is located covered by tape
They look as though they are threaded
Any ideas what they are for ?

I think for a different size battery so you can clamp it down

There not on the battery tray on the bulkhead in front of the battery two holes about an inch apart

Definitely factory holes remove the tape which is painted and there is bare metal underneath so they are drilled and taped up before the shell is painted.

Maybe it's a special lightweight edition or they thought the less metal they put in the less there was to rust
