  • Saggy Front

I'm hoping to look at an Escos in the next week or so. The owner has provided an honest looking ad acknowledging the vehicles faults including a saggy front end (see link to the ad including photos on this site).

Do an members know what may have caused this, have any experience of repairing it and if so an estimation of cost?

    Thanks

What's sagging? I can't make it out. If it's something like the bumper hanging low then that's an easy fix. The bumpers height can be adjusted while still on the car. If it's the stone deflector that's sagging then.. all OE ones do. Well, most of them do.

I can't think what else could sag? I know Sapphires can suffer from saggy bumper syndrome where it looks like the gap on the bumper is rippled, but can't say I've seen or heard of an Escort suffering from it.

Either way, none are anything to walk away from buying the car. Or particularly worry too much about.
      $5?.. anyting you want

        Saggy Front

I presume he means a rippling front splitter in which case a simple carbon upgrade will do the trick

Apologies. Hopefully the images have copied below.

You should be able to see that the front bumper is hanging about an inch lower than it should.

          Thanks

Easy enough job to sort and shouldn't take no longer than 30mins to put right

Very straight forward fix. Easier with 2 people, but I sorted mine using a jack to push the bumper up while I tightened the retaining bolts.
