  • Fiesta ST mountune

I was looking at getting the new Fiesta ST with a mountune pack for the misses. Anyone got any experiences of it? I've not seen any mpg quotes with the mountune pack, not that mpg matters that much but she does about 17,000 miles a year so costs could go up a lot. Even if it's just an ST that people have driven, what's it like?

Ive got a standard one and it's averaging 36mpg locally... I'd imagine a mountune one doing slightly more

But at 17k a year id be buying a diesel

She has the diesel zetec s which is great but it's about to turn 3 years old so thinking of a change. I do 25k miles a year so have a cheap run about myself. I've got a Cossie that has 15k miles on it so I can't really drive it much if I want to keep the value in it. Just fancy something nice for the misses that I can take out sometimes. We can afford it so a why not sort of thing.

I think your fuel bills will go up quite substantially.. But the fiesta st is a great car.. If your Esc cos is standard I dare say more fun and quicker too

Completely standard Cossie but I can't really enjoy it that much due to the condition. We will see if we get the fiesta, we had a look at a mk2 FRS or a 2009 Cayman S as well but the fiesta would be the cheapest of the lot and probably more useable.

Can't comment on the Cayman but prefer the fiesta to the focus RS

I had a Fiesta ZS Diesel before my Fiesta ST and as much as I loved the car it was so under powered that you needed to scream the hell out of it 24/7. Thus giving poor mpg for a diesel.

Im not noticing much more expense in running costs with the ST, probably about £8 a week more in fuel than what the diesel was.
The ecoboost 1.6 engine is amazing, and the car itself is super!

Im just waiting for REVO to release the new code.
