  • What amp alternators are available for the cossies

    After some info if anyone can be kind enough to shed some light,

    I need to get an alternator for my engine and i am after a 90amp version to suit the 2wd type bracket set up but i do not know any part numbers etc as i believe some are only 70amp?

    This is the type i am after



    Anybody know the correct part number for the 90amp version?

    its a std bocsh... cossy have 90 amp Stock, same With the Scorpios...

      I read some of the rally boys fit New Holland TM alternators. That's what I'm going to try and fit its 120 amp.

        you can use any bosch With the corect "feet" and tension eye on right place...

        you can also change the inside(dont know what its called in English) to higher amp...

                90 amp one will be marginal if the car has three fuel pumps. The one I do (see Ossie Cossies pics) is 145amp.

                  I have a 4x4 one for sale which is 90amp it was bought new from Fords for my Escort Cosworth.

                    Mike - Martin Hadland run a 90amp one on his escos with electric power steering, gearbox and diff coolers, twin pumps etc and never had any issues so should be ok,

                    I've got twin pumps and electric power steering vein the main things,

                    Fletch - how much you want for the alternator including delivery?

                        No offence but I've found fords still do them for £78 new so that's too much for me for a 2nd hand 1 mate

                          £78 new that's less than I paid when I bought mine. I thought Ford only increased prices PM me an offer mate
