We need 5 sets to make it happen?

How wide is that wheel in the pic, it looks very dished so maybe 9.5". I don't think 8.5" will look as dished.

Reason I said that mate, I had some rota gtr on my evo and the looked great being 9.5" as they were so dished but the 8.5" versions didnt look good at all, the face of the alloy was very flat looking.

            That's 9.5.

If I order grids they'll be 8.5 and not as dished

I have just done a stock order for the Forces in 9" wide as they do still have a concave

These style wheels have gotta have a good dish to look good, but my rotas in 9" form look great IMO.

                Chris,
It would be very disappointing if they didnt have the concave look, do you know of anything to fit the Escos with a concave look that does not have multi spokes?

                Thanks
                Mike

Most are fairly flat to be honest, unless you want to go 5 stud conversion. The problem is is that the concaveness is determined by the width and 8.5 just won't cut it. You need 9 or above so if you can get a few others to go for the 9.5" Grid or GTR then you'll be out of luck.

The problem is due to strength and desing of wheel and brake clearance. An 8.5" wheel will only be able to have a maximum concaved centre of about 25mm and the centre needs to be flat around 130mm in the centre so has a step of about 25mm too.

A 9.5" wheels can imediately have an extra inch meaning a bigger concave.

I guess the question is then, would 9.5" wide fit the Escort Cosworth without mods

Doubt it. But the mods would be worth it I'm sure!

Will fit the rear, but you'll struggle on the front IMO. 9s with 255/35 tyres only "just" fit on the front.

                              8.5 x 18's

Perfect for track and tracklook, but no concave.
