Weekend of Rally (the RS200)

On this stage we were clear winners by 16 seconds in our class, and by 9 seconds including all classes and pro class.

Fucking awesome.

We were the fastest car upto this stage, with a lead of 3 minutes in our class overall.

We only managed 7 stages before broke the gearbox.....

I love you next time you should come along for the jolly. Trying to get it sorted for San Remo or Eifel......?

X-Trac dog box (rally-cross) should have been ok but its used for engine breaking alot. I would have thought we'd have killed 1st or 2nd as we used them most on these stages, but it was 3rd. Firstly it wouldn't engage, then we could go 2 to 3 not 4 to 3. We tried it on one last stage, best ever launch, a few open bends then on a long long left 3 it just gave up and rally over :-(

So gutted, we hooked it up so well, and we'd been planning all our efforts around a particular uphill stage that was perfect for a big powered 4wd..............

Better brakes and no engine braking or better gearbox?

Shame abot the gearbox I think a better co-driver solves the problem though

Brakes are really good (Alcons) maybe just need to use them a split second sooner. The box should be strong enough too cope. The other one we're building will have a sequential and if that is good could be the way forward with the EVO but this maybe something siple like a worn shim or dog ring............hopefully!
