  • Horn not working

My horn has stopped working. Is there a fuse for this? I cant see it listed on the fuse box lid cover. HELP!

Mine stopped working a while ago. It had a corroded connection and I was told that it is quite common due to the location. Might be worth checking.

I'm not sure which fuse its on, but it should be fused.

Thanks mate. Will look in the morning. Where are the contacts located?

it certainly is a fused item.

in the past ive had the fuse blow on mine, which promptly blew again wen replaced.
they can corrode on the contacts, or like mine just became very high resistance hinting at an internal short, to what ive been told since that they can get a bit damp inside and cause this.
as mine (and i presume every other escort) had 2 horns attached to the bracket, i just disconnected the faulty one and left the other in use, never had a problem with it since that day

behind the front bumper is the horn

IIRC there is one in the rear also on the pass side inner 1/4 (well there was on mine when I stripped it) but that could be for alarm/immobiliser
