Once it happens, it'll happen again unfortunately! I did my 60Gb and it worked fine for about 12 months and then happened again, so re-did it and now only use it as a Blu Ray player. Bought a 250Gb slim now.

Is the 60gb the only one that plays old titles?
Can you transfer save downloads to a new ps3?
I upgraded the hard drive to 500 gb so lots on it��
My son has a 500gb super slim so could use that ?

If you have the PS3 + then you can save them online and then just login with your newer PS3. And yes 60Gb can play all games.
