That part is the same on both its the actual shaft that attaches too that's different

don't think so...i remember when my gearbox died i used sierra 4x4 gearbox for some time,it was direct fit with no problems...

Yes and the doughnut on the early sierra cosworth 4x4

You will have fitted a late sierra cosworth 4x4 box

I have both types here and keep both so I can fit both types of gearbox in my race car
