I regret buying my Escos, but that's only because I bought the wrong spec car first time round.

I think for many they were / are a special car and if you have the tendency to spend on a car it doesn't matter what it is really, you will do it.

I'm not currently an owner but do want another one day when I've finished with Evo ownership as there is definitely a characteristic in a Cosworth you don't find in the other cars.

So long as the engine / gearbox stays intact, I should remain in the budget...maybe

Cosworth's are a money pit, plain and simple. Add up what you've spent and have a look at the other cars available for that money, it's depressing

I think I've spent in and around £18K just on mods(never mind running costs/parts), plus the car for £9K. Should have bought an RS4 or something instead

When I first got an escos I never minded spending money on it as I was using it everyday and if it needed it it got it but with the current one I have had some big bills but when I use it I enjoy it so not too bothered I know I have lost thousands on them over the years but I don't smoke and rarely go out drinking so I have never minded spending money on them
I have had new cars and when sold em again I have lost lots of money at least with escorts I have always managed to get back the initial purchase price and only lost the money spent on mods

Money pit's not the word!! I use mine everyday and costs me a small fortune in petrol, but if I ever come to sell it at least I can say I got to actually drive it, unlike some of you on here!! :-p
I hardly ever go out and don't smoke, drink much, so spend on the car. Once it goes however, that's it for me , never again!

                      no regrets yet!

Ive only had my cosy for a year now which i did not use as much as i wanted to due to typical english weather and a couple of months off the road where one job led to another, but when i did go out it put the biggest smile on my mooee. Not driving it everyday makes all that wincing about tax and insurance for nothing go out of the window .Its the best investment so far.

i love my car, dont regret spending any off the money on it i have, however i never use it, and to make me really happy with the car it would cost me a fair bit more ( better spec engine and box and diff ) and i now think to spend more on it would be mad noing i dont even use it now , i havent used if for 18 months now so even if i spent the money on it, it would be a waste as i wouldnt use it, definatly thinking about selling mine
