but ive been missing Georgie's prompts. As it know been for him, I would never have seen any of the last series.

Come on Georgie, take your rightful place as "Lord of the Top Gear" announcer.

I wonder what the real reason is behind why the series lengths have been cut in half?

its certainly not the viewing figures and money they make from the franchise.

Personally i reckon its the dicks in the BBC environmental policy departments haviing an influence in it being cut due to environmental concerns making it "un-pc" to view cars as a source of fun hence cutting the episodes. Kind of like a mild version of moderating what we watch.

I know thats a bit conspiracy theory like but it wouldnt surprise me in the least.

Don't know about conspiracy theory, but isn't that what government already does to us any way.

in theory the government makes BBC have a policy of showing a balanced spectrum of programs and view points. They are supposed to be free from bias, hence the eye brow raising over a number of stories and broadcasting of events that seemed very opposite to the governments views.

In my opinion there shouldnt be any "pc brigade" restrictions on a motoring entertainment show. As long as it complies with watershed rules then how many episodes and its content should be based on ratings, viewer demand, budget and thats it.

There will probably a Christmas/New Year special like usual, but the series is just getting too far and between now
