  • -6 Killed my Battery

Was -6 last night, came to start the car and hey ho low battery.
Been no warning signs so its given me my first warning of impending doom.

can the square terminal batteries still be found to fit the ESCOS
    If so where from

Ive got my maintenance charger on at the moment and will now start but its on its way for sure

    Thanks,
    sigpic

Batteries die in the winter big time. We sold 50 to one company at work on Friday and a lot of our calls have a battery involvement. Square terminals can be found, but round terminals will be fine just don't use the adaptor for it and get proper connectors

I got one from my local motor factors no problem at all Frank. Think it was £55, so should be handy enough to get one.

How do you get the wires to attach to a round terminal battery

Use proper round terminal connectors and you will be fine. The adapters has caused a few people's cars to catch fire.

You can defo still get square post battery's, just look about untill you get 1, I bought a 097 battery for my car as soon as I bought it, got rid of the round post 1 , the square post is much nicer on the car and is what's meant to be on there, no risk of touching the bonnet and earthing out either,

As long as you can fit the battery cover on after it doesn't matter what terminals it has. I'd only fit proper square connector batteries myself
