  • EsCos Recaro Cloth

    Hi,

I have been offered a set of red hex Recaros, but unfortunately the seller says that there are a few burns on the driver's seat. How easy would it be to repair these burns if:

    a) They were on the bolsters? Is the material still available?

    b) They were on the centre section of the seat with the red hexagons?

    Cheers,

    Rich

I think you might be looking for a spare pair of seats to get the material from, bolsters shouldn't be too bad, but if on the Red Hex then I don't think you stand much of a chance as there weren't many with the red hex seats

          Thanks for the replies guys

The seller is looking to swap his seats with my leather interior plus cash my way (not sure how much yet). He sent me some pics of the seats today:

How difficult would it be to repair the section where the burns are?

Am I right in thinking rear doorcards for a leather interior are different from those for a cloth interior?

What would your general thoughts be - should I bother with all of the hassle, or should I hold out for a better set?

That's good to know. With reference to the pics above, how much would you sell me a section of bolster cloth for me to repair it?

The cloth is NLA as far as I'm aware although you can pick a single seat up cheap enough and just use that as a doner.

if you can get a seat it shouldn't be too difficult to do, you also need a bolster foam as well by the looks of it, thats another £35 + post

Do any other Mk5 Escorts use the same doorcards as the leather EsCos rear doorcards or as they specific to the Cosworth?

Yeah I had noticed the bolsters too . It will all depend on how much cash the seller is willing to give me if we swap.

How much do single EsCos seats sell for? I've never seen one for sale.

Couldn't even tell you as like yourself, I've never seen one for sale. Best off asking the poster on here what he would take for one. That way you are armed with all the costs when he comes back to you with an offer

I was referring to the rear door cards - do any other Escorts share the same ones?
