I'm a lucky man!!

At last weeks trackday at brands hatch. The final hour my car started to idle funny as if it had an air leak. Had a check over the car at the track but couldn't find anything so drove it home.

Still couldn't find anything when home sondecided to strip the inlet off incase it was the gasket. When removed I found the internals from the iscv rolling around



Worryingly though I couldn't find the big piston/plunger part. Bought my bore scope home from work and found this!!



Any other angle and that would have been straight in

lucky but would that have got past the valve?? jammed it open maybe bending valve and denting piston, but i doubt that would have got fully into the combustion chamber.
