That's the thing mate I reckon the ppl that are not noticing any differance are the ones who have had it set up at there local 4 wheel alignment and not getting the full benefit out off the beam where as ajc had his set up from you guys and see's the improvement

You only really notice the difference in "on the limit" handling, so if you're just doing slow Sunday drives, you won't feel the benefit .

That's you not getting a beam then Iain, you need to drive it flat out to notice.

Track day here we come for you then.

I have never seen a slot used for suspension point locations on any oe car
ie Mitsi evo's and the merc evo's they all use eccentric bolts and cams

So would you recommend going for the eccentric bolts rather than the slots and why cheers

Tony your trying to re invent the wheel though, these beams have been around for years, never has one moved or failed due to design, so why change something that is perfectly fine? I'm not going to argue as it will go on for pages and this isn't the site for it, you have your beam and we have ours nothing more to it an personal opinion

But in all seriousness, yes the standard beam sucks, but you can have so much more fun (especially in RWD) with a standard beam. Purely because its easy to cock its ass out and hold a slide, but with a decent set of tyres and an adjustable beam, you loose a bit of that characteristic. But still very sensible mod to get the most out of the car

the standard beam with lowered ride height is extremely good at running the inside edge of your tyres off
