    was looking at carltons earlier and was about to look at this one because i thought it was well cheep, i go back to it like 2 hrs later and its ended.........

    thats sounded a cheep lotus did that and it looked quite nice.

      there was a damage/repairable one at the local scrappys a few yrs back for sale but i hate to think what they would be like for parts,bodykit etc

          That's about going rate for a clean but not mint example with close to 100k on the clock.

          I'd expect to pay about 14k - 16k for a lower mileage one and 20k+ for a minter.


          Most parts are getting difficult to find now though , some proving near impossible. A good friend of mine has a Lotus Carlton which is currently nothing more than a garage ornament due to an array of "no longer available" bits being needed.

              i had the money in both my pockets to buy one once butt,it was a left hooker lotus opel omega and i missed it because someone else got there before me. i think i bought a evo instead but i still think they are a bit of me them are.

              i sold my mk1 cortina butt so today i got my escort mk1 going,i'm hoping to do pics tommorow. seems strange bombing around in the mk1 escort but fook me it conked out of petrol on the busiest road in chester on a crossing

                  I work in a Vauxhall dealership and we used to play a "guess the Lotus parts price" game when we were bored. lol

                  We'd think of something to price up on EPC (parts computer) for a Lotus Carlton and then put guesses in to see who was closest. Some of the prices were frightening for the time , like £600 for discs and pads.... ten years ago!! lol

                    i used to live close by to one of 3 vauxhall dealers we had in chester,ben whitehouse was a old family smaller vauxhall dealers and the salesman there had one from new,must of been cheep i reckon with discount,the only other person i know who had one was rick parry the lfc chief exec and head of the football league,my mate soapy valets his cars and he had one.

                        Know someone who had one from new, he still has it, totally awesome cars, he ended up buying a pretty good second one just for parts, nuff said really........

                          My dad had one on order brand new years back but between ordering and taking delivery he got clocked at 131 on the M1 so decided he probably shouldn't.
