I've heard a few stories over the years that there's 1 of these locked away in a garage local to me and the guys had it locked away since new, I've never seen it though so don't know if this is true or not

Cheers guys, they are getting rare - Goodwood had an open pit lane track day so I thought I would give it a run there & back (not brave enough to take her round the track!)

Fantastic car....I remember back in 1978/9 my best mate at school and I used to wagg school and wait for his dad to get back home from working his nightshift in his Lotus cortina, we used to wait for him to get to sleep and push the car around the corner, start it up and spend the next few hours flying around Wigan in it he got rid of it in the end thinking it was using too much fuel..........If only he knew .

                    Stunning

Mate of mine up here is re building one at the moment and has another one (GT) which he is off to do a charity run in at the begining of May in aid of his daughter from Lands End - John O' Groats.

                    Really cool cars

Fantastic, do you have any pics? Owning this Lotus is just a dream come true... if Im honest I bought the Escort Cossie because I couldnt afford the Lotus at the time...

I love my Escort to bits, believe me... but theres something about the Lotus Cortina... the styling, the heritage, the history, pretending to be Jim Clark lol! - they are just awesome IMO

Hi, sorry we didnt take any pics, mind you, two 14 year olds flying about in a throaty twin cam taking photos of ourselves was the last thing on our minds just in case we got caught! I will try to track my old school friend down to see if his dad has any info on the car for you. cheers.
