  • No V Power round here :(

Couldn't get any Shell 99 V Power at my usual forecourt on Monday........... just thought it was a blip as they had everything else but i'm hearing that there are issues at many other places too and that panic buying has started

Any problems where you are ?

I'm a bit baffled why it's the Super that's run out first............ is it just that the forecourts hold less of it as it's only us petrolheads that use it

For the record, if there is going to be action then i'm in favour as this piss take has gone on too long and i'll take any suffering on the chin

Just thought I'd check completely of the main subject you were getting at but I was sure v-power was only a 97 octane rating?

The only 99 I thought that was for sale is Tesco momentum??

But back on subject it's about time something was sorted about these ridiculous prices!!!

The fuel strikes planned for next week end have nothing to do with the price of fuel

Tom super unleaded is 97 Ron, Optimax was 98ron, then when it changed to V-Power it's now 99ron.

....... and is there any truth in that fuel tanker drivers earn £45k .............. seems unlikely to be the norm but if it is i think i need to re-train and change jobs and i need to seriously graft to earn that working with another flammable fuel

I queued for 45 mins to fill up the works car this morning because the cunts are putting 8 litres in at a time.

Stupid bloody government advising people to fill up. Did make me laugh that they advised to fill jerry cans up then realised a 20 litre jerry can is more than they advise to keep at home

All this panic buying will ensure the fuel runs out, if people went about it as they normally do I bet there wouldn't be much of a shortage

Should suggest that it be stored beside the fire .

Fucking sheep. "Oh...they're all filling up...I will too!" All old bastards that do 7 mile a week to the shops and back. When it comes to filling my taxi up for the busy Easter period there'll be nothing left! Sometimes people's mentallity beggars belief!

The closest 7/8 stations to me are now out of petrol completely, the closest one with optimax is 9 miles and has massive queues so doubt that will last long, i've done 3 shuttle runs in the Clio with 2 jerry cans to get some optimax for the cossie ready for Saturday when its taxed and it now has about 1/3 of a tank - enough to get me to a petrol station and back if i can find one with optimax within 10 mile radius

The two petrol stations near me, one has no fuel left and the other has just put unleaded up to £150/ litre!!
Now that's what I call putting the boot in!! I won't be going there again EVER.
And as for tanker drivers earning £45K/ year, I would say its not far off that as I'm just over £30K.
