    mobile credit card machines???

    Evening guys,

    Does anyone on here use one?? What company are you with?? streamline etc??

    Are they any good? What are the charges, Any contract etc??

    Dave, do you mean wireless PDQ machines or hand held units with a phone wire.
    I'm with the HBOS for the office machine and Streamline for the on-line account.
    The office machine is a hand held but with a wire to a phone line.

      A total mobile unit. I'm a mobile mechanic and am finding more and more people want to pay by card.

      I've just started looking into the idea and at the moment am completely clueless!!

        I had some work done on my mountain bike. I wasn't expecting him till after Christmas. I asked if he could bring it back after the holidays. He said if its easier he takes cards. So he turned up, pulled the machine out his pocket. Job done, his was using the mobile networks.

          Streamline seem to be doing some good deals, but also worth checking with all the major business banks. I read that some software was being developed that means you can take payment via a smart phone (a bit like internet banking), don't think its out yet though.

            I am with rbs.... I have used their web based payment terminal for two years now with no issues, I also have the site stored on my iPhone so I can take payments on my iPhone when out and about

                i just finished setting up barclays epdq. have got a login to their website to take payments into my merchant account and also a gateway to take them on the new website coming next year
