WRC Track control arms....

Does anyone have a set of gold TCA's I need the measurement

I have been informand that gold TCA's are the same as black WRC ones...

Only problem being in the WRC manual it says that gold are Tarmac and black are gravel

Gold Tarmac 9096493
Black Gravel 9096679

I know it's a pain if they are on the car but could really do with knowing this asap

There are 5 levels of track for the various grp'a' & wrc escorts...

Grp 'a' gravel spec 1992 - 1993....(red tca's, green arms)

Grp 'a' wide track tarmac spec 1992 - 1994 (blue tca's black arms)

Grp 'a ' super wide tarmac spec 1994 - 1996 (gold tca's Black arms)

WRC Gravel Spec which was the same as a grp'a' wide track tarmac 1994 spec. (narrow lateral links, black tca's, gravel hubs(which are similar but not the same as a grp'a' hub)

WRC Tarmac Spec....(longer lateral links, black tca's and tarmac hubs)

The track is acheived with different tca's, hubs, beams, front x memebers...there are many levels of all these components and matching them can prove frustrating....


As said the major difference is that WRC cars have a cradle and lateral links....

The wrc shells and some later grp'a' cars had the bodywork widened and heightened to increase suspension travel (particularly on tarmac).

The later grp'a' cars were every bit as good as the WRC cars active diffs etc....the only other advantage was the weight....mag arms are still relatively heavy...

What I need to know is where it says super wide track gold with black arms what are black arms?

I mean who would know this sort of info?

just had a measure of our black tca's and they measure 280mm from end/end.(less rose joints) unfornatly i dont have any gold arms to compare.

heres some pics taken from the homologation manual

The total length of the gold arms I have are 294,5mm.
