  • Humbling experience today

A few months ago mymum was diagnosed with cancer so i have been with to the hospital several times when she has had treatment
On one occasion there was a small girl in the waiting room playing with the toys & full of beans. today i was there again with mum & the little girl was there again Happy & full of life but there was one big difference like my mum she had no hair. But she was so happy & looking forward to christmas me & mum asked her what she wanted & she said for all the people here to get better
She is 8 years old & that had me my mum & her mum in tears
So all i can say is there is allways some one worse off than you are & i hope she gets her wish

All the very best to your Mum Paul and hope she fully recovers.

Bless that little girl, reading it made me well up. Such a brave thing who doesn't deserve it, not that anyone does either for that matter

Wish your mum all the best, been through the same with my dad this year and you do relise when you goto see them in hospital that there is worse people in there.

The treatments nowadays are so much better, my dad said he was glad in a way to get it now than 40 years ago.

The best thing is humor it is hard but finding something funny does make it better, my dad asked my girlfriend to shave his hair off when it started falling out and when she had finished he put a jock tartan hat on with ginger hair sticking out lol.

Hope your mum comes through alright
