  • .55 or .63

Thinking of upping the power from 350 to 400 but I'm running a .48 rear housing , so what would be better of the two ?
    Standard spec rebuilt engine
    Greens
    Three bar
    Stainless exhaust
    500 cooler
    Pre rad cooler
Is what I'm running at the moment

    Chris,
My old black one was running Siemans blacks with a .55 housing and made just shy of 400bhp. You'll prob need a better fuel system tho?

.63 provides bigger power figures (so i am to believe so would be my choice) and .55 for quicker spooling like the .48

If you want a genuine 400bhp from a t34 you need the engine to flow air. Standard cams and head won't allow this. A inlet cam will help massively for example a bd14 but you need valve pockets.

Running the boost you need to to show 400bhp the t34 wont last long

380-390 is a much better figure to aim for

        You'd do 380 on a standard engine at 26psi

Karl was the engine standard spec ? And is it still running the same engine now as Dave does drive it how it's supposed to be driven

I'm not chasing 400 just wanted a bit more so 380-390 sounds good to me if I can still keep the t34 as that's been rebuilt recently aswell cheeRS chris

a 003 or 023 will do 400 all day long no problem.

                Dave.

Dave my car was at nms same time as when Karl had your car and he had the uprated fuel system fitted with the 023 in tank pump and the extra pump and swirl pot , I don't think he will map a car now without this set up for the power I want but I'll give him a call as I only have the 023 pump at the moment cheeRS chris

                    i remember it, very nice.

cannot see why Karl won't as long as its fuelling right with the right pressure then....

worth a call to find out though.

                    Dave.

like Karl said, my car made 398bhp on a t34 and .55 housing on 55lbs injector.

afaik theres is no head or cams in it.

                        Dave.

Like I said if your car performs how it does with how you drive it Dave and it's still as it was, I need some more injectors .55 housing uprated fuel system and a remap cheeRS chris

make sure you get the alloy tank put under the rear bumper and not inside the boot if you go for the uprated fuel system.

i'm happy with the way it goes for now lol.

                              Dave.
