  • Escort Cosworth in the USA?

I live in the USA and I'm a mechanic at a Ford dealership. I'm in love with the Escort Cosworth. I was wondering if anyone knew a way to get a Cossie over here in the states? There are a few around here. I've seen ones for sale but unfortunately the ads were a couple of years old. But that means there must be a way of getting them over here. Any ideas? Links? Input?

Hello and welcome to the site

We have a couple of members on here from over the pond so I'm sure they will be able to help, for some reason I have in my mind that it was a canadian company that imported them

yes wesley p and chad aka zombie are from the good old usa, theres another fella from alaska who i unfortunately can't remember his moniker right now.

wesley p has just imported a 1996 escort coz into i think canada 1st then the usa,i think it needs to be a airbag model only though although in canada anything goes so can you import a older non airbag big turbo car into canada 1st them the us i dunno but zombie and wesley are the best people to ask BG.

PS welcome in and if you need to know where to find a few airbag model left hand drive cars for sale i know people..............

                welcome.

is it not a straight forward import job or is there lots of messing around with tax/emissions etc...

                Dave.

Thanks for the welcoming, I believe I was reading about that company in Canada that imports them from the UK. Sun Racing International I believe? I also remember reading that the company is no longer in business
