  • is it wrong i dont find taking my car to santa pod appealing?

i dont want to run it down the stip as the driveshafts have a stupid amount of play, i dont wanna put it on the stand as the splitter needs repainting, i dont wanna leave it in the grass car park unatended all day as i worry about it to much.

and my van will do the trip at about 1 3rd of cost lol im debating leaving it at home, i drive it most days so the trip isnt overally exciting me...

    maybe im getting old

Not everyone is into the show thing fella.

I wouldn't let a splitter needing paint put me off it being on a stand though, my wheel centre caps need paint but i'm still showing it.

I think when it comes to shows its all about expectations and standards.. you can pick faults with every car and not many are perfect despite some of the owners thinking they are. The shows are not just about some perfect examples of RS's its more a social event and putting names to faces.
People that go around pointing out faults on other peoples cars need to get a life
So bring it don't worry about the imperfections on your car.. lifes far too short

My car has damaged rear bumper (Paint flaking everywhere), scratches, dents, etc and I would still take it up Pod Its not about showing ya car to everyone, but being part of the group of people on here who enjoy looking at other's cars

Going down the strip is fun trying to beat ya time, but its so boring waiting to go down it

If you see my brother's car he thinks its awesome, but the car is proper hanging Bodywork, suspension, etc is fooked and so is the carbon, but it does what he wants and goes sideways at high speed

I'm glad I came across this thread. I've been thinking my Escos wasn't good enough to show and would let the side down.
Glad that's not the case. It would be nice to put some faces to the user names.
