need ideas for living room

im decorating my living room inmy flat but im stuck on colours lol

ive just built a floating wall and flaoting shelve unt underneath for tv, but now im stuck on colours

im tempted to go cream on all walls and have the tv wall like a blood red or slightly darker, and thinking of painting the shelve unit gloss black and possible the wall ive built aswell but so unsure lol

anyone got any ideas or pics to give me inspiration

ok bud im a decorator & you cant go wrong with the colour natural hessian as your main colour as it goes with anything & everything, its like a beige/wheat in colour go for a matt finish....then if your into red for your feature wall go for the blood red look again in matt or a paper with reds in it as you would only need a couple of rolls so wont cost the earth & your shelfs in black...also top tip if your not that handy with a brush, finish your woodwork in eggshell...2 coats... as any runs wont show as bad as if you did it in gloss, hope this helps........all the best from lawrence llewen broome....cossie driver

my walls are cream dn brown at the minute, but want all walls the same colour bar the tv wall

heres a pic of the unit ive built to give idea

the unit i was thinkin glass black with teh centre wall black aswell, and the main wall behind it red

there will be 2 or 3 glss black flaoting shelves on the right hand side to hold dvds and on the left will be a silver corner display case
