Nice polised crank but then get lets down by the 4 stress risers on the rod and I suspect 3 2 then 1.

The center punch marks on the rods so the builder didnt forget where they went.

that crank is amazing mark to be fair the punch marks arny that deep so hopefully not and issue

ye but i see what hes saying, people go to the extent of polishing shot peening etc to get any inperfections and hairline cracks then put pop marks in to number them but it looks great in the flesh

Stress relieves the surface Dave and reduces the resistance / drag as its spinning.

ah ok m8 should of put my polished crank in but was told on a 500bhp engine its was not worth having it
