              Due to my super-duper driving skills (and lack of forward looking ahead skills - my ROSPA examiner will be turning in his grave ), I scrubbed off 120mph before the accident "happened" .

                  Yep, leaving 200m PLUS skid marks (the ABS was switched off). Thank fuck for APs, or it would have been a higher speed . The roundabout had one of those painted high brick-weave surrounds - you try hitting one of them at 30mph .

                      With the Performance Friction pads and the ABS switched off, they locked the front wheels from 130mph - I think that is pretty good . I didn't have time to do cadence braking and the moment I came off the brakes to try and negotiate the roundabout, the car went sideways, and I didn't fancy barrell-rolling over the top of the roundabout, so just accepted the lesser evil, pointed the car straight again and prayed .

                        I took my 1st Escort Cossie to SCS for a stage 1 setup and remember seeing these enormous skid marks on the road approaching a roundabout then seeing all the scuff marks on the raised roundabout and thinking holy shit now thats understeer

                        on arriving at SCS I saw Mikes car looking quite sorry for itself you must of been doing some serious speed there Mike

                          If that car was written off how come it got rebuilt? Isn't it now in Ireland with a Mountune engine and painted white with Gold Comps?
