Damn Local Council's!!

Just got off the phone to some bint at the local housing trust and I'm fucking fuming!

Basically the property we own only has one garage with it, which my mum has got her car in, so my second car's (the RS's) have always had to go in a garage that I rent from our local council, I pay about £30 a month for it!

It's had a fucking bad leak in the roof now for the past god knows how long and Ive been moaning at the housing trust to sort it, just spoke to them today as they had someone out to look at it on Friday and I got the response:

"Someone did come to see your garage, it's beyond repair, we don't do anything with those ones because the roofs are aspestos and it costs us about 5k for a new roof!"

WTF!! So I'm paying for something that I HAVE TO HAVE, (there's no fucking way I'm leaving the car outside) and it's fucked basically! She said I could give up the lease on it and go first on the waiting list for another one to become free! Again, not a fucking option!

I've told them that 4 garages out of a block of 8 right opposite the house are free as no one uses them so I'm going to get the numbers for those and see if I can be moved! Let's hope so as I wanted one of those in the first place so I could run power accross to them!

I know what you mean... my mum and dad rented one years ago off the council and they were useless.. think all councils are tbh. they didnt wanna give em a garage at first said there wasnt any - even tho we knew half were empty and not used... I fucking hate our council also here..

Might try the Citizens advice as both I and the council have signed a proper lease agreement, surely there's got to be a clause or something in there that it will be kept in good repair!?

I probably will mate tbh, I have asked them what I can do to the structure as remember it's only a lease and I don't own it, whatever I do is only in their benefit!

In principal yes, but then over the course of the year that damp garage
over the winter months will de-value your shiny brum!
The extra costs in AutoGlym etc wearing those model like pecks of yours out and making the VO5 Ultra wet look hair product run and look LIMP - so i would spend the £30 and do it. Or tin foil and prit stick if your Pikey Blood is boiling.
