  • Oil Breathers...

My white escort could do with an oil breather with it been stage 3 but i want the car to appear totally standard under the bonnet, with no breather holes in the cam cover and the breather hidden..

Is there anything out there available, i've seen the wrc one's but they look a pain in the arse to fit

Does a stage 3 car for road use really need an breather system??

ive used a normal bailey 2 way breather and had a bigger port for the drain to sump welded in... i personly think the wrc breathers are by far the worst mod to a cossie, the design is as good as a choc tea pot... with a £400 price tag... sorry lads i dont mean to offened anyone with one, but i think everyone will admit there a pain in the arse!!

id be inclined to just make a custom one that can be hidden somewhere near the ABS modulator with the pipework no higher than the inlet plenum if you had to have one

being a pain to fit doesnt make it a useless mod. If its good enough for WRC then id like to think its good enough for us mere mortals.

Being a pain to fit is just a consequence of its design. To a rally team always swapping engines etc then its no hassle to fit and frees up space in the engine bay.

                Medically Discharged!! Officially insane!!!

                    Can you please clarify?

They are the best breather on the market at present, the ONLY issue is that they are a pain in the arse to fit if the engine is in the car. However, once installed, they are fit and forget .

Mine are always checked and replaced with new when the engine is out .

                          Also, I have a dog, so I don't bark .
