Neeeeeeed to clean the inside of my new daily driver but want some tips / advice from you lot please

Seats and carpet will be jetwashed as ive always found this to be the best solution but what should i use to clean things like headlining (not vinyl, the soft ish material type), hard plastics like pillar trims and cill bits and softer plastics like the vinyl type stuff on door cards and dash tops etc.

The car is 27 years old, covered in dash cock shine type rubbish and has what looks like just ground in general dirt and grime and it needs to go

Any helpful advice before or during any piss taking would be great

        Dunno lol

i can tell you that the head lining could be a bitch to clean if it's grimy or fag smoke coloured, as due t o its age, and warm water or chemicals can cause the material to come away from the hard shell.

"Guns for show, knifes for a pro" - is that not what him with the wierd hair from Grange Hill said in Lock Stock

Headlining isnt too bad tbh but does need something doing to really

you've started the pee taking already.and yes that line is from lock stock sharp eye darren

depending on what finish you want and how much time you have etc then interiors arent too bad to clean.

also depending how grotty the lining is too.mine in the escort is minging due to a smoker so i have to order some trade strong strength cleaner now

but in the past i have used autoglym interior shampoo.the key is to spray it on lightly so it doesnt soak the lining and work small areas at a time.used a soft plastic bristtled brush to work at it and a damp(just damp not wet)cloth similar to a jay cloth to wipe the surface with.dont be tempted to chuck aload more on if it doesnt look different.best way is to let it dry and give it another go another day and do the same, carry on for a few days till you are happy. as si says,if you soak it then it will sag and be shitty.

as for dash, side plastics etc.to remove the dirt i use holts minute clean.its a multipurpose cleaner and does a great job of getting the crap gone but doesnt leave it shiney at just dry.ive tried various stuff and like this most tbh. use it with a cheap micro fibre towel.if after that you want a shine or a matt finish then you can choose from meguiars supreme shine or ultimate dash quick detailer(matt)

as for jet washing your seats and carpet. do make sure they are out of the car if you do.or it will soak the soundproofing and rot the floor inside out,as well as being condensationed up inside

any othe rquestions just ask matey

Cheers Neil Will give it a go at weekend i reckon.

So you wouldnt leave the seats and carpet in the car then to jet wash them

hell no. bad news. and i hate valeters that do the doorcards and carpet up the back of the dash in the car.
it causes mass electrical issues down the line after they have done it
