Alright guys, i have a couple of badges on mine what i want rid of, i 've got a 4x4 badge on the back and some RS ones on the wings how/what is the best way to get them off without damaging the paint?
Seriously tho John, you need to soften up the sticky pad on the pack, something like hot water from the kettle, ive tried a hair dryer in the past but ive found the paint colour to alter slightly if your not carefull, which then needs mucho polishing to bring its shine back again!
if you were to pour hot water over it, gently obviously so you dont splash yourself, you should find the badge will gently lift off as you wiggle or try to lift it.
it will leave a sticky paych where the pad has been in contact, but you can gently get that off with a bit of thinners on a soft polishing cloth (or even a bit of cutting compound)
Think the ford workshop manual says pull a peice of thin twine or string behind the badge in an up and down stylee - then clean off whats left of the glue with suitable cleaner-

LOL! as above get the pics on! I'm just getting some new indicators, but I can't get the pics up as I haven't got a car at the mo!
I was going to mention the hair dryer method as I've used that in the past to get graphics off, but I won't use it again now I know the paint burns so easily!
Struggling to find 400BHP!

i tend to use fishing wire to slice through the tape, then cover the remaining sticky stuff in tar remover(and i mean soak it) leave it for a good few mins to beak the glue down, then it will rub off no prob and all you do after is polish it once.

ah so! thanks for the info mr myagi of the detailing world
use autoglym tar remover john.and make it so its dripping wet. most people put it on by rubbing and it does nothing,it needs time to break it down before you try to shift it.
i made a set of second hand door moulds off my saff look mint by this method and did all the badges on my saff too
