Last weekend put 100 quid in the escort and only got 320 miles on a run is this the norm for a stage 1 large turbo escort cos .I say this because my old saff was stage 3 and for 100 quid i would get about 520 miles easy.
It has got a very early chip according to Harvey. do you this could have something to do with it or are all escorts like this?

320 for £100 doesnt sound great,i dont really count my mpg as i dont run the tank down too far and dont trust gauge near the empty ,mine is similar spec and get c300 to 1 tank with mixed driving

i personally don't care, i have diesel vans that do around 60 mpg so a thirsty cozzeh doesn't worry me too much

yeah it was 2 lots , put 60 quid in on the Friday night (full tank) went to Cambridge on the sat to see an old school friend. got there i had just under half a tank left (100 miles from Lincoln) so put another 30 in then went home . then went to thorsby show so thought i would put another 10 in just to be safe.

i can do notts city central to g,mex in manchester£30 round trip 60 miles approx- small turbo /ggr chip etc

Me too ,if i wanna save petrol .i go out in 1.25 fiesta ,but thats no fun, i laugh at

peeps who own a 3 Tonne SUV and moan about MPG ,heavy car = heavy fuel bill

£40 and 300 miles, were you goin down hill all the way £40 to fill up as never let it drop bellow 1/4 tank but that will do about 100 miles of driving and prob about 70 if on it

could be worse.mine was doing round 180 to 200 miles driving sensible to 70odd quid before
