  • If No Esco....

Ok guys, if the Escort Cosworth was never made, what car would you own now? We all love the Esco, thats given, but there must be something else to get you guys salivating...........what is it? I had an Astra GTE years ago. Loved the digital dash, thought i was the dogs in it. Would love a mint one now. Really like the newest Seat Cupra as well.

Let me know if i've crossed a line........

It would have to be either another white 3dr or a duratec'd mk2 escort or a 60's yank muscle car !!!!

Given that at this present moment in time I don't have an escos, I think the car i'd like to replace it with is a B5 RS4...
Shame the missus doesn't like the shape of them.. - Apparently I'm slipping into being a 30 something beofre my time if I buy one - and I'm only 26!

i dont think it would have effected me

mine was a bit of an odd reason to buy - i was just splitting up with the misses and selling the house, and more of rebelling purcahse as she hated cars, and i had a mate with one and they semed pretty cool, id never owned ford up until that time and i was currently driving round in a vectra Gsi that wasnt even a year old.

i think if i hadnt bought one, at this moment id probably have an M3 sat in the garage and own a decent sized nice house instead.

in some ways i wish i hadnt, lol

I would probably be in an RS500 as above.

Failing that, i would probably be in an Evo6. Now I am sure I have crossed 'the' line..

                            A CSL, a 911 GT3 or a heavily modified Evo.

Nordschleife, there's only two barriers to worry about - the ones on the left and the ones on the right .

PS. I tried Cossymad's heavily modified B5 RS4 (MTM tuned to 500bhp) and didn't like it at all. I had high expectations of it, and it failed to deliver.

On the contrary to that, I drove Steven RWs E46 M3 and expected it to be a bit disappointingly gutless, but felt it was an amazingly well balanced car and drove brilliantly (albeit with top of the range suspension and brakes - but then so did the Audi.....).
