    just wondering is there many of you lying off due to no work aswel.. as i've been outa work since jan, on the hunt for a new job but not much happening, hugh

      Yes Craig, ah your not too bad then, hard to beat being busy better then lying around lol, would love a change of job from the plastering had enough of that paying te price now with a sore back, do you work from home Craig? hugh

        No i have a.........well kind of 2 valeting-detailing place's my van mobile and work placei also do recoverys aswell

            i'm getting made redundant in the next few months, I'm an engineer for vesuvius UK and there closing the plant in this country and moving all the work to the plants abroad

              Been flat out now for a few months even over christmast which is odd for the plant hire trade as building sites are meant to closed down due to the weather and stuff

                Got a couple of mates who are a bit short of work at the moment ,there plasterers as well , probably due to the long christmas break and the bad weather at the start of the year , its put all the brickwork ,blockwork and first fixing behind ...............Rashers

                    yes mate the weather is def not helping things at all, might pick up come summer, i hope

                    ive have few friends in boston in usa tellliing me there will be work over there in the gas come march so never know!!

                      i work as a painter in a bodyshop and were flat out just noww went quite over christmas tho but all the bad weather has kept us busy nothing worse than standing around all day time drags in

                          been out of work since september 09.

                          Im only looking for part time work as im a student, which is probably why im finding it hard to even get a part time job! Round my way theyd rather employ "someone who needs the money" than a "student who will piss it away on beer" Clearly they have beef against students and dont quite realise that not all students are working to piss it up the wall! oh and im too old for the usual student jobs as being over 21 means they dont want to pay the higher rate minimum wage

                            flat out here working too long hours, have own bodyshop and hasnt slackend off this year ova xmas were last few it did kind of, i also have a fair few mates in all trades who are out of work so i try help them out wen i can. my exs dad is self employed bricky and has been out of work almost 10 months now. seems to be quite a hard time for some but hope for these people things pick up.
