  • Front Diff strengthener plate

    Whats the full SP on front diff strengthener plate. Is it really necessary and how effective is it on big hp cars? Ive just put my front diff back in so now is the time or not???

    I run one, can’t see it doing any harm, has to help with flex on the casing

      Helps allot, the housing flex to much original, so no harm stiffen it up.

              Wish I had read this sooner. Just bought one from Burton Power. You dont have a turbo heat shield do you?

                Ah no worries... Unfortunately i haven't got a turbo heat shield but i think someone on here was selling the good quality repro' ones recently. You might have to do a bit of searching though as i can't remember who it was.

                    I run one too but can’t see them making much difference if I’m honest unless they’re actually dowelled into the casing as the clearance for the bolt holes still allow movement.

                      I was wondering some thing like that too. Plate arrived today but I cant see the original ally sump plate flexing it seems quite strong and as you say not dowelled .Still I will fit it and hope for the best.
                      Perhaps they could be dowelled ?
