Plastic Ford battery cover

I got a new battery cover from frauds and the finis code i was given was 1666435. when the cover came it was 14" long as opposed to 9 1/2" of the stainless chav one. I searched threads on here and it seems to be the right finis but the wrong size cover? anyone else had this problem and if so does anyone have a finis code for a right size cover from another ford car maybe?

sounds like they may have sent a cover for a diesel battery as I seem to remember the cover on my mates Escort van being wider.

I am after a battery cover as well if anyone has the fin code for the correct sized one as have seen a couple on ebay all claiming to be for the escort but all looking different to each other

mine car has one on but fook knows if its right - i've just bought yet another battery and its a bit of a mums pants scenerio!! it was the only one in at five to twelve on sat(ie just before everywhere shuts just about) and was for the garage owners rs turbo, the last one i got was loads bigger - but then i do always ask for the biggest available!!

theres a few listed and it all depends what amperage ur battery is as thi determines which 1 u want,ie,43,52-60 or 70 amp

What size is it? The autospecialists stainless chav one i have is 9 1/4" x 7". I think my battery is the correct size one as theres no more room in the battery area to fit a bigger one.
