Best to mate unless you can get it powder coated right away, im taking all my bits upto the bodyshop tomoz so i can get it primed up, my mate is giving it a coat of redoxide primer to stop the parts rusting

all good here mate cheers. thought it had been quiet in town

you can turn up in anything you like mate, I very rarely take the escos as I just can't be arsed with the hassle of getting out and back into the garage, but will be making a special occasion on Thursday but that is only as I need petrol for Saturday

Hope you can make it mate, I should be there around 7:45 to 8pm

so you sandblasted your beam and arms and you are going to primer them then powder coat them, is it ok to powder coat over primer or does it need to be bear metal?

Im not powder coating mine mate, there being sprayed and laqured, but the surface needs to be paint free for powdercoating as the particles need to stick to a grounded surface mate, but alot of powder coating firms can blast prior to powder coating, most of it is done by sand, or bead ect but they can dip and chemicly clean ect. If the parts are going to be exposed for a while though its worth priming them up to protect them.

A laser printer works in the same way, the laser charges the drum in the shapes of the letters then the toner sticks to the charged shapes and as the paper goes through it discharges onto the paper then goes through a fuser that is like a heated roller and it melts and bakes the toner onto the paper. But all surfaces have to be clean for the charge to work ect. ( Glad im not in I.T anymore lol )

I managed to get all the rear parts soda cleaned and blasted for £150, but only spraying and laquring mine as my best mate owns a bodyshop and works out cheaper for me to have him do that.

Yeah we didnt even know it had one, but the firm who done the machining done some sort of xray scan and it was a tiny one appearing on the surface, so they repaired it and marked where it was mate
