Best tyres for 18" reps

hi all, did we ever figure out the best size tyre to fit the 18" reps we had made, I seen a few people say they were rubbing.
also what's a good tyre to go for.

Was speaking to a lad yesterday who wholesale's tyres. I was asking his advice on a few tyres. He reckoned Uniroyal rain sport 3 were up there with the big boys of tyres for grip and for the price. Wet grip he said is super. He also mentioned Khumo as being good value. I asked him about Michelin and Pirelli but said the Uniroyal is a better wet tyre than the Michelin His words not mine.

Chris you got ant photo's, i was thinking of 235's but was a bit worried about the fit, i'm running konis, but not done the platform mod yet or even got the wheels on the car.

I've just looked and haven't got any of the wheels off the car mate, I do remember the 245 having a little bit of stretch on the rim though. It was very little though.

I’m finally getting round to putting my 18” reps on, my car is completely standard with no mods.
After all the discussions on here what was the best tyre size for standard?
I’m happy to lower car if it will help with ride height and look.
