Hi, just wondering if any of you guys run with a magnetic oil plug, i have seen stainless ones for sale and thought it would be extra protection?

I just got one on last oil change, it should be better, since metal particles are catched on plug and dont go in pump. ill put some info when i do next oil change if there is any metal stuck on plugEscort RS Cosworth

They are about collecting the minute particles. Used oil analysis always reveals some iron contamination in used oil.
Magnet material choice is important as some magnets lose strength at the oil operating temps.Cheers

I've used one for years, there's always a bit of sludge stuck to it. There's never any metal particles, when I rub it between my fingers it's kinda like a oily paste. I got mine from MSD
