my trolley jacks finally packed in the other day there was a pool of oil coming from it its done well though for a cheapo so i now fancy 1 of those aluminium low lift jobbies, can anyone recomend anything for around a £100? there seem to be a lot of diff makes around and presumably some of them are cheapo foreign efforts so id like a tried and tested one

ha ha I'm here, it was about £83 inc vat I think from costco

Have used it a few times and proper impressed with it

Franco has one that I got him also, he may be able to give you a better verdict since his car is in bits lol

What's the lift height on these one's Ben? When I look in the machine mart catalogue the low level ones have about half the lift height of a standard trolley jack?

I keep thinking that it's easier to just drive up on a couple of bits of wood and use a standard size trolley jack and have the car at a better height for working?

If you can get one that's both low level and high lift then it's a win win!!

sorry its an Arcan one not the high end audio people

and it does raise to around 500mm, its a sturdy piece of kit that is pretty light for a 2 ton jack

Placed under the rear diff it will take the back wheels 200mm off the floor
